The Model:

Launched in 2008, the second generation Honda Jazz aimed to build on the huge success of the original model by offering improved versatility, space and equipment. It was also more economical, comfortable and quicker than before but just as easy to drive in town with a tight turning circle and great all round visibility. The engines are peppy around town plus offer decent performance on the motorway, plus the Jazz is extremely comfortable and very easy to drive.

The Honda's biggest strength is its interior which is hugely practical and impressively spacious, making it one of the most family-friendly small cars around. The Honda Jazz offers a boot that is larger than most cars from the class above thanks to 399 litres of room when all of the seats are in use.

Jazz models with this larger 1.4-litre engine also benefit from additional underfloor storage in the boot, while the clever 'Magic Seats' in the rear scissors up to divide the cabin into two large cargo bays. Alternatively, you can fold the rear seat down for the full load potential, and all of this is achieved simply with one hand. The versatility of the Jazz’s cabin is what makes it one of the strongest contenders in its class.

The second generation Jazz takes everything people loved about the old Jazz, then takes it all a couple of steps forwards. You get an even more versatile interior, better performance and improved economy. And they've also made it handle and ride better, the two less than brilliant aspects of the old car that buyers tolerated because the rest of the car was so good.

The history of this car:

The car was first registered to the sole lady owner on 25/6/2010 and has been in her possession ever since. Used sparingly, the car was always been garaged when not in use. It was collected and serviced annually by the local Honda main dealer, then delivered back to her, every year.

The specification:

This car is presented in attractive Honda metallic ‘Storm Silver’ (paint code NH642M) often seen on the later Honda S2000 models.

Customer feedback showed that younger Jazz owners were keen to stand out from the large number of other Jazz cars on the road. They preferred bigger wheels and enjoyed the additional stylish touches of the first generation Jazz Sport. The Si model was launched in response to this, and combines sporty good looks with the Jazz’s fuel-sipping engine, low running costs, low emissions, value for money specification, space and practicality. The Jazz Si’s enhanced looks and stylish extra features should appeal to younger (or 'young at heart') drivers who want their car to stand out from the crowd.

The Jazz Si wears 16-inch Chronos alloys which set it apart from standard models. A chrome sports front grille and rear spoiler add to the sporty look. Stylish embroidered carpet mats and Si branding on the boot lid and glove box highlight the car’s high specification. The Si model offered nearly £2,000 worth of extra equipment on top of the standard specification.

Standard models had:

3x3 point rear seat belts

Body coloured bumpers

Driver`s airbag

Electric mirrors

Folding rear seats

Front electric windows

Heated mirrors

Isofix child seat anchor points

Passenger`s airbag

Remote locking

Side airbags

And the Si trim level added:

Alloy wheels

Sports cloth seat trim

Rear electric windows

This car has covered an exceptionally low 11,132 miles having been used sparingly by the previous owner, and always kept in her double garage when not in use.

On the Road:

This car drives exceptionally well, with an elevated driving position, extremely comfortable adjustable seating, and excellent visibility. The car feels light and responsive, whilst having a reassuring solidity you would expect from legendary Japanese build quality. This car accelerates smoothly, the steering is precise and the brakes are extremely effective. Everything works as it should and it feels very ‘new’ just as you would expect from a car which has only covered just over 11,000 miles.

This Honda Jazz comes with the 1.4 litre i-VTEC engine which is frugal yet powerful for its size. It’s a quick starter and revs freely exactly as it should, no doubt from benefitting from annual oil changes even if it only covered 2,000 miles per year. It runs very well and purrs along, eager to get you from A to B smoothly and reliably.

The gearbox is a five speed manual. It changes gear smoothly and quietly and performs perfectly, and the clutch pedal feels exactly as it should for such low mileage.

Sold with a new MOT until end of January 2019.

This car is in exceptional condition as you would imagine for the age and low mileage. It has been cherished and enjoyed by the sole owner, and maintained perfectly.

The car had the expensive optional extra Autoglym ‘LifeShine’ treatments applied (Gloss protectant, upholstery and carpet protectant, glass guard etc) with lifetime warranty at a cost of £299. As a result the paintwork and interior are in excellent condition, thanks to the treatments applied, low mileage and being regularly stored in a garage.

I would always encourage anyone to come and see the car for themselves to get a true impression of what a wonderfully maintained car this is. It’s hard to describe any car in words, so I am sure most buyers would wish to see for themselves.

These cars are always very popular and sold in large numbers so there will inevitably be many for you to choose from. As I am sure you will be aware, prices do vary, usually in direct relation to the age, service history, mileage and condition. There are plenty of well-used, high mileage examples without decent service history, or with visible damage to the bodywork, but I hope you will agree that there are very few available which have been so well looked after and in such superb condition. This car is not intended to be the cheapest Honda Jazz available, but taking into account the sensible price for the high quality, excellent condition and ultra low mileage, it has to be the best value for money Honda Jazz you can buy. As my Grandmother always used to say; “buy cheap, buy twice” and "always buy the best you can afford”. I’m confident this is the best condition car you will be able to find, coupled with such low mileage and an impeccable service record, at a very competitive price.

The Jazz is one of the UK’s most celebrated models, winning around 30 industry awards for reliability and customer satisfaction. Hondas are renowned as the most well built and reliable car you can buy, and deservedly so.

I don't have to persuade people into buying a Jazz. They love it anyway, for all of the sensible reasons and without any convincing from me. Honda’s huge success with the Jazz was based on the fact they offered the whole package: a car that's going to do everything you want, never let you down, and not cost a lot to run.

There’s no shortage of these cars offered for sale as they were such a popular car, but in my honest opinion, I think you would be hard pushed to find one better than this anywhere else.
